If you agree, you've come to the right place.Voyatek is seeking applicants to occupy the position of MYCity Java Developer 2 within our New York City Office of Technology Innovation team located in Brooklyn. NY.Key Responsibilities:

The Java Developer is expected to be a key resource for the build of API services and Java-based front-end and back-end applicationsDevelop custom code and web services that allow seamless integration between systemsContribute to new technology projects as assigned and provide operations and maintenance support for existing applicationsUnit test newly developed code and support system testing effortsTroubleshoot errors, defects, and other system issuesCreate and maintain excellent documentation (including data dictionaries, source-to-target maps, and database policies and guidelines) and source code repositoriesResponsible for working with City's Cyber Command unit to follow and complete the application security accreditation process

Mandatory Qualifications:

8+ years of experience with application development using Java Spring Boot FrameworkExtensive knowledge of service-oriented architecture using SOAP and RESTful web services

Desired Qualifications:

Knowledge of Python, JavaScript frameworks like Vue.js, React.js, Node.js, express.jsKnowledge of one or more programming languagesExperience with 3-tier architectureExperience with Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, RDS, PostgreSQLExperience with RabbitMQExperience with WSDL creationExperience working hands-on in cloud-based platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Snowflake is a plusExperience with an agile, iterative development process and version control tools such as Git,GitHub, and Subversion

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. This includes, but is not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and geographic location. At Voyatek, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
