As Senior Simulation and Data Modeling Quality Engineer, you will lead the testing of the core meso-scale agent-based simulation environment that BrightDrop uses to develop and demonstrate algorithms to control and optimize goods delivery.

You will develop a test plan and test scripts to test a high-performance, reactive simulation engine inspired by the latest in gaming technology, capable of simultaneous two-way communication with human users, internal & external APIs, and internally developed AI controllers. You will work with data engineering to develop data pipelines based on simulation that unlock AI learning at scale.

Responsibilities:• Work with product and engineering teams to understand new features and create test plans to test a high-performance transportation mobility simulation engine• Build data and processing pipelines to support rapid and flexible deployment of the simulation engine for internal and external customers• Create test automation scripts to enable data population and validation of the simulation engine to ensure system availability, integrity, and consistency to deliver both real-time visibility and deep analytics applied over batch runs of the engine

Qualifications Required:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science, engineering, or related quantitative field4+ years of experience in software quality engineering and 2+ years writing test automationTrack record developing innovating software solutions to automate testing of complex simulation, gaming, IoT, or mathematical modeling problems at scaleExperience with Object-Oriented ProgrammingExperience working in teams using agile software development methodologies together with distributed version control systems (e.g., git).Preferred:

2+ years of industry experience testing software in transportation mobility systems, gaming, scientific simulation, AI, or MLExperience with functional programming on the JVM (e.g., Scala)Scripting Experience (Python)Domain knowledge in transportation and energy systems, graph algorithms, convex optimization, and/or reinforcement learning.Typical Day:

Will be working with developers to understand new features (SPRINT)Coming up with a test planCreate an automated test script to test the new features to understand if they function properlyTeam environmentDaily stand-up team meetingsYes, there is a possibility for extension within the roleThe team is flexible with the Contract Worker Shutdown days (Some are optional, some are mandatory(holidays).The role will enable us to help customers to transform their fleet management experience.To help decarbonize the vehicle ecosystem (EV Vehicles)
