Work Location: Position may telecommute / work remotely from anywhere in the U.S.

Job Duties: Involved in all phases of the Appian software development life-cycle (SDLC), participating in design sessions, both from custom code as well as architecture standpoint. Develop applications in Appian business process management (BPM) and integrate with other COTS (commercial off-the-shelf) products. Develop and implement Appian and web-based applications. Leverage Appian platform to build solutions and deliver mission critical applications. Create various document artifacts including design/technical approach document, target state diagrams, installation instructions, and Visio diagrams. Build critical Appian based application as well as associated integration components in Java. Produce analysis, design, component, and deployment models for Appian based BPM applications. Configure Appian, debug, test, and document new applications and enhancements. Integrate Appian with different technology platforms using native integration components. Provide technical guidance to mid-level developers as and when required. Participate in customer and team meetings to support various program tasks including design review, stage gates, technical roadmap, production troubleshooting including performance issues. Work closely with release manager to ensure completion of key tasks including deployment, code baseline and merge, version control. Work throughout the entire project life-cycle (requirements review, technical design, development, deployment, and maintenance). Develop BPM specifications to integrate with legacy applications leveraging web services, messaging, and enterprise service bus. Address Appian application performance issues and application tuning. Contribute toward developing solution guidelines, standards, and best practices. Use of Appian, Java/J2EE, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JSON, XML, Ajax, Web Services, and SQL.

Requirements: This position requires a Master’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, Business/Data Analytics, or a related field. Plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or 2 years in a related occupation including Data Engineer or related experience. Position requires 6 months experience with SDLC, Appian, Java/J2EE, Web Services, HTML, CSS, and SQL. 40hrs/week.

The likely salary range for this position is $121,024 - $163,738. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
