Seeking a passionate, conscientious professional with prior experience in Nonprofit Development. The Advancement and Community Outreach Associate will support the Advancement department's administrative goals. This role involves working on various projects, including supporting special events sponsored by the agency, achieving strategic objectives, and supporting fundraising efforts. The Advancement and Community Outreach Associate will provide administrative and project support to ensure the successful completion of departmental goals and will lead communication with all constituencies including donors, board members, staff, and the general public through both written and verbal communication. Position Highlights1. Serve as the gatekeeper of Blackbaud Raiser's Edge/NXT donor database for the Advancement department by overseeing all critical decisions on gift coding, gift entering, running reports, and determining how the department can best utilize the database for all aspects of fundraising.2. Oversee donation acknowledgment process which includes writing and sending thank you letters/notes/cards and special processing. Manage donor mailing lists using in-house distribution application, creating lists for all department mailings, including direct mail solicitations and special events.3. Oversee the execution of annual fundraising campaigns, such as the Holiday Magic Gifts Drive and the McDonald's Hispanic Owner & Operators Association (MHOA) gym shoe drive. Additionally, help prepare post-event reports and metrics.4. Support the Marketing Department in executing internal communications via agency email. Assist with scheduling social media posts for the agency and as requested by programs/departments, using agency-approved software/web-based designing platform.5. Support the Advancement Manager with volunteer onboarding, orientation, tracking service hours, as well as other ad-hoc projects related to volunteers.6. Support grant writers with circulating internal grant request approvals. Under the direction of the Grant Manager produce grant writings for grants under $5,000.
