Job Description
Technical Business System Analyst to assist the API Development Team in creating API Technical Specifications, SWAGGER interface specifications, Test Cases, and other needed deliverables toassist the development of new capabilities in client’s Digital API Platform.
They will also provide subject matter expertise on behalf of the API Development Team.
This position will be interacting with internal IT development teams, IT Management Staff, third party vendorssee to for data and integration.
Excellent scientific & communication skills required.
Primary deliverables and activities for this position will include:
Candidate will be responsible for developing Technical Requirements Specifications, including Swagger/JSON Specs, for the development of API/Web Services that will run on Amazon’s AWS
Strong Communication Skills Responsible for being the technical SME of the APIs as they are developed by the development team through both an Agile and waterfall development processes.
Must have hands-on experience in integration projects and REST/JSON API development Data Analysis skills.
SQL, MongoDB, Postgres.
Be able to write SQL statements for data analysis.
Define how API Caches should be populated with data – either via batch or real-time updates to cache – be able to implement controls and balancing on data that is being loaded into API Caches
Knowledge in APIGEE API Gateway helpful Healthcare or Healthcare Insurance industry experience preferred in the areas of Claims, Benefits, Enrollment, Provider
Must be able to interface with client applications/project team to understand their needs, then work with the analyst team and architects to develop an API that meets the client's needs, document the API in a Technical Requirements document and JSON Swagger interface spec, and then walk the development team through the requirements/specs, and develop test scenarios and cases.
During development, the candidate should be able to converse with the development team for questions/clarification.
The candidate should interface with Software Quality Assurance SQA team members to sign off on the test plan and test cases of the API, and then be able to support the new API as it goes through SQA, and UAT testing.
Should also be able to support the API in production
Candidate should be a very strong data analyst, with experience in SQL Server and/or Oracle and NoSQL such as MongoDB.
Candidate should be comfortable writing complex queries to understand sources of data Strong problem solving skills and critical thinking
Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously Knowledge of tools like JIRA, ALM, Splunk Visio, Lucidchart
Required experience:
8+ years of experience total in IT, with at least 3 previous years of hands-on JAVA development Minimum 5 years as a business system analyst
Greater than 4 years in the health insurance industry
Knowledgeable about Domain Driven Design (DDD) and Micro services Should have prior experience with API
Should have experience working with Application Development
Should have worked with Architecture Review, Modelling, SDLC Process
Experience with HealthCare/ HealthCare Insurance is a must
