Establish a meaningful liaison with both high school and community college personnel and represent the University to students and their parents, counselors and the general public by making school visits and participating in both daytime and evening seminars for college bound students. May have special responsibility for minority student recruitment.

Position Accountabilities/Responsibilities

1. Participate in all aspects of recruitment and outreach to prospective undergraduate students in Southern California, with particular attention to underrepresented students.

2. Visit local high schools, community colleges, and community based organizations as assigned.

3. Provide admission counseling and Financial Aid information to prospective students, their parents, and counselors.

4. Utilize web and digital communication and information platforms to reach underrepresented and Spanish speaking students and families.

5. Participate in the evaluation of applications for undergraduate admission.

6. Assist with planning and execution of on campus recruitment events.

7. Represent LMU within

the Southern California

community and at professional organizations or associations, serve on committees as required.

8. Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

Requisite Qualifications

Typically a

Bachelor's

Degree or equivalent experience Incumbent will be expected to continue upgrading knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to keep abreast of regulation/policy changes.

Minimum

1

year experience in higher education or secondary school teaching or counseling highly desirable.

Familiarity with Los Angeles and the diverse cultural backgrounds of local students and their families is essential.

Exemplary communication skills (both written and oral) essential.

Highly developed organizational skills.

Bilingual fluency (English and Spanish) required.

Demonstrated computer competency.

Staff Regular

Salary range$66,560.00 - $75,200.00 Salary commensurate with education and experience.
