Storage/Backup Engineer - Mid

Stratum Networks is a rapidly growing information assurance and cybersecurity solutions company that provides high-end network and security consulting to Department of Defense and Intelligence Community clients. We are looking for a talented and passionate Storage Engineer who would support one of our clients located in the Annapolis Junction, MD area.
CANDIDATES ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE AN ACTIVE TS/SCI WITH POLYGRAPH TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE POSITION.
Job Description :Proven ability to lead and mentor a small team.
• Proven skills in data storage administration.
• Experience implementing high-availability storage solutions used to manage and protect mission-critical data.
• In-depth administration, and performance management for NetApp data storage controllers running the ONTAP operating system in NFS and Windows (CIFS) multiprotocol environments.
• Experience with CommVault Backup design, installation, configuration, and administration. Other backup storage solution knowledge such as TSM (Tivoli Storage Manager) Netbackup and EMC Avamar is acceptable.
• Experience with deploying a SAN storage solutions for Windows, Linux, Oracle, MySQL and MSSQL Database Cluster systems.
Desired Experience with the following:
• NETAPP Active IQ Unified Manager software
• Brocade Switches and Brocade Network Advisor software
• Tape Libraries
• VMware vSphere/vCenter
• MS SQL cluster servers
• Windows and Linux servers
• AWS EFS and other cloud storage technologies
• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
DoD 8570 Compliance with IAT level 1 is required (SEC+ce or A+ or Network+ or CCNA).
Qualifications:Twenty (20) years experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity within the Federal Government is required. Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts is required. Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
