Job Summary
The Data Visualization Developer supports Institutional Research by managing and analyzing data, and creating and updating Domo Dashboards used by Deans, Program Leads, Faculty, and BYUH Leadership.
Primary ResponsibilitiesAdminister surveys, gather and share results, and offer training on survey research methods.Roll-out and provide support to programs and departments for data visualizations of survey and other data in Domo.Develop dashboard analytics to specification in Domo using data warehouse as source data.Use SQL, R, and other technologies for building statistical analysis.Gather, analyze, and present institutional data for university use and external agencies.Assist in cleaning datasets, maintaining databases (including understanding database structure), ensuring data accuracy, and proposing solutions for data integrity issues.Offer technical and statistical assistance for Academic Division initiatives and studies.Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications
Basic descriptive statistics.Basic to intermediate Inferential statistics.R (or other language) programming for statistical analyses.Database structures and data integrity.Data visualization software.Domo data visualization experience.Make meaning of data using appropriate graphs and charts.Data extraction, transformation and load.Connecting data sources via various methods.Intermediate computer programming.
