By advancing our state-of-the-art testing technologies, subject matter expertise, and service to critical missions, Element U.S. Space & Defense has become the go-to partner for ground-breaking industries.JOB SUMMARY:The IT Support Specialist will provide support to employees for both hardware and software including but not limited to network, computers, phones, access, account maintenance, replacements, troubleshooting, inventory, and escalation point for other techs.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Support users and provide technical support to employees, Maintech technicians, consultants, and customers, which includes resolving hardware, software, and network issuesBuild, configure, and deploy workstations and serversResponsible for computer maintenance, including repair and replacement, reload or troubleshooting, configuring new or loaner equipment, computer disposal, and ordering new equipment. This includes but not limited to:

desktop, laptop, tablets, phones, and paging speakersIP phone configuring and supportpaging system - determining location of speakers, replacement, troubleshooting issuesbuilding

Support the network, including troubleshooting, replacing and repairing, assisting with switches, installing Fiber, creating CAT6 cables, wireless access points, network drops and customer network, UPS, and Server upgrades, chamber supportShipping and receiving of equipment including network, servers, phones, and computersInventory and administrative work relating to computers, accounts, phones, and network equipment; documenting all support & maintenance activityTroubleshooting issues with servers to include DNS, DHCP and shared drives, accessPrinter support including maintenance, configuring and scanning, working with vendors on replacing printers at all facilities, and disposalOther duties as assignedJOB REQUIREMENTS:Ability to support issues within an Active Directory integrated environmentAbility to support users working within RDP, including basic troubleshooting and knowledge of remote printers, internet/LAN/WAN connectivity, RDP connection configuration, RDP Gateway, cached RDP credentialsGood understanding of IT systems including Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Windows Server 2008R2, Windows 365, MS Office Suites, Share Point, Wireless, Networking, Switches, Routers, Network Printers, and cablingExcellent day-to-day ticket management using an IT ticketing system, including regularly updating work logsAbility to support and troubleshoot mobile/tablet devices including Windows, iOS, and Android platformsAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environmentAbility to solve practical problems while maintaining strict compliance with existing policies, procedures, and established standardsHighly motivated, positive attitude, with enthusiasm to learn new skills and technologies at a fast paceStrong written/oral communication skillsGood customer serviceEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:BS Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or another technical field highly preferredTechnical certifications such as Microsoft Certified Professional, CompTIA and other vendors desiredMinimum of 3-5 years of hands-on IT Support experienceExperience in supporting and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows XP, 7, 8 and 10, 365, Enterprise OS and associated applications on desktop and laptop platforms in a corporate environmentExperience in troubleshooting PC based desktop and laptop hardware issues, faults, upgrades, includes efficiently stripping, and re-building equipmentExperience in supporting and troubleshooting Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Office suite of applicationsExperience with other Microsoft applications and productivity tool such as, SharePoint, Teams, Skype, and Click-to-RunWORKING CONDITIONS:Test lab with exposure to sudden, loud noisesWhat We Offer:Competitive salary and benefits package.Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.A collaborative and innovative work environment.The chance to work on groundbreaking projects that shape the future of space and defense.Physical Requirements:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell.General office or test lab environment with exposure to sudden, loud noisesThe employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.EEO Policy Statement:It is the policy of Element U.S. Space & Defense to offer Equal Employment Opportunity to all individuals without regard to race, creed, ancestry, color, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status, age, national origin, physical disabilities, pregnancy, childbirth, and related medical conditions.
