Document Control Specialist
to join our team!Responsibilities:Prepare the Service Treatment Record (STR) documents for electronic conversion.Familiarize yourself with the type of content that should be contained within the medical and dental records.Repair and enhance images to improve the quality of the document prior to scanning.Update record status in the STR Registry to ensure accountability of records as they move through the process.Work in a team environment.Be proactive in cross training on other roles within STR, so that knowledge and skills can be used to assist other team members in other process roles.This position requires applicants be able to lift and move boxes of up to 40lbsEnsure that the confidentiality of sensitive information is protected.Professional Experience and Skills:Familiarity with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)Conscientious and responsibleDependable/ReliableBasic computer knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and InternetStrong attention to detailAbility to read, write, and speak English proficientlyStrong interpersonal and communication skillsLean Six Sigma Belt Certified, desired.Education and Years of ExperienceAssociate Degree with 2 years General experienceDegree may be substituted with 2 years relevant experience and 2 years general experience.Security ClearanceApplicants selected must be eligible to work in the United States, be subject to a government security investigation, and meet eligibility requirements to access sensitive information.Work LocationQuantico, VA (on-site 100%)Benefits OfferedThis position is paid a base salary based on job family, experience and skill level.Health benefits include medical, prescription, dental, and vision plans.Company paid Life Insurance coverage, Short-term and Long-term Disability coverage.Health Savings Account or Flexible spending accounts.401(k) with discretionary company match.Paid time off (PTO) program and eleven (11) paid holidays.Additional time off benefits include parental leave, bereavement leave, volunteer hours.And moreEvoke is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, sex, citizenship, national origin, ancestry sexual oriented, gender identity, age, religion, creed, physical or mental disability, marital status, veteran status, political affiliation, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
