JOB DESCRIPTION
The Software Developer (Geospatial Tech) will leverage geospatial and reference datasets to assist geospatial targeters with answering complex operational questions and improving data triage efficiency. The ideal candidate is hands-on python developer with experience in analytics, data science, and data products. The candidate must be at ease working with little supervision and embody a passion for continuous improvement and innovation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Expertise in operational geospatial and reference datasets.Deep understanding of targeting challenges, mission, and operational requirements.Leverage knowledge of targeting mission and datasets to provide innovative solutions to complex targeting questions.Deploy solutions vis python scripting, SQL queries, and Elasticsearch queries.Work with targeters and data engineers to sustain and advance our organization's capabilities.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.5+ years of related data analysis and software development experience.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Hands-on experience with Python.Hands-on experience working with Elasticsearch.Experience managing code via GIT repositories.Experience managing project requirements via JIRA.Experience querying geospatial and reference data via SQL and PL/SQL.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Strong analytic, critical thinking, and research skills.
