Release ManagerOverviewSofttek Government Solutions is seeking a Release Manager. The Release Manager is responsible for the overall coordination and timely delivery of releases as they are deployed from development, testing, UAT, and production environments.ResponsibilitiesThe Release Manager documents risk to delivery time and communicates impacts to schedule immediately to all stakeholders (ITPMs, Product Owners, and UAT and development teams).The Release Manager also proposes and executes mitigation plans to minimize impact to performance and delivery schedules.The Release Manager shall collaborate with release managers from our customer and external organizations to identify dependencies and impacts to release schedules.The Release Manager shall work with the Requirements Team and UAT testers from the Business to communicate development complete dates and testing schedules.The Release Manager shall work with the Quality Assurance Automation Engineer Team Lead, Scrum Masters, Lead Software Security Developer, POAM Project Manager, and Cloud Architect/Engineers to develop release plans, deploy releases and plan bug fixes and address Root Cause Analysis (RCAs).QualificationsRequired EducationBachelor's degreeRequired Experience8+ years of relevant experience in an Enterprise IT environmentCertified Scrum Master (CSM) certificationDHS Section 508 Trusted Tester certificationQuality Assurance Institute (QAI) Certified Software Test Engineer (CSTE) certificationExperience developing and implementing efficient and effective testing strategies, test conditions and test scripts for projectsCertified Scrum Master (CSM) certificationProject Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) certificationExperience creating release guidelines to train team members and post on the SEVIS Confluence pageExperience communicating key project commitments, plans, changes and requirements to teams.Experience measuring and monitoring the progress of releases after deploymentExperience planning the release of project deliverablesExperience managing risks that may affect release scopeExperience constructing product roadmaps in Jira for each project to have a centralized view of all releasesExperience making improvements to the methodologies used for configuration managementExperience collecting feedback from different teams and customers for reviewExperience maintaining documents related to procedures on build and releaseExperience ensuring releases meet acceptance criteria as stated in the requirementsExperience providing weekly updates on release activitiesExperience resolving issues regarding release quality and schedule.Experience determining how third-party applications, infrastructure updates, and defect backlogs affect releasesExperience identifying any project dependencies that could alter the course of releaseExperience with all aspects of configuration management planning including configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting, configuration audits, configuration documentationExcellent active listening and verbal communication skillsStrong business writing abilityFlexible and adaptable attitudeCan conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelinesAbility to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of stakeholdersAbility to discuss technical issues with non-technical, executive-level government ocialsLeading and mentoring teamsAbout Softtek Government SolutionsSofttek Government Solutions is a professional services firm focused on addressing our nation's most complex threats and challenges.
