A Day in the Life as an SDMI IT Specialist :

Under general supervision of the Chief Information Officer, serves as the first point of contact for IT support within the organization to include areas of installation, maintenance and repairs on hardware and software within SDMI's clinical and administrative offices as to ensure continuity of operations and high levels of operational up time. Duties to include but not limited to: Delivers IT support assistance to all SDMI team members with their hardware and software support requests. Maintains all service oriented documentation including web based work orders and technical documentation. Setting up workstations with the necessary peripheral devices. Installing, configuring, and maintaining third party services and hardware components of computer and network systems. This will be done by phone, chat, an approved remote sharing software or primarily in person. Diagnosing and troubleshooting software and hardware issues. Repairing and replacing damaged computer and network components. Evaluates software compatibility between new and existing programs. Builds and maintains vendor relationships and manages the purchase of hardware and software products. Investigating and plans upgrades to workstations. Oversees daily performance and performs all preventive maintenance on all computers and peripherals. Ensures end point security by installing and maintaining security software. Provides instructions and training to all team members on a day-today procedures on proper use of computer hardware and software. Manages technical projects to completion, working closely with internal team members and vendors as needed and regularly communicating progress to management. Participates in planning and implementation of administrative and clinical information systems software and hardware. May assist higher graded technical and / or support staff. May perform other job duties as necessary for the efficient operation of SDMI.

A+ certification or equivalentA high school diploma or equivalentIT knowledge and a minimum of 2 years as an IT technician or equivalentReliable transportation, valid driver's license, registration and auto insuranceProficient computer skills (i.e. Office Suite, Ticketing systems, Web applications, etc.)

You can expect to earn a starting rate of $19-$22 depending on experience
