What You'll Do We are seeking a motivated Shopify Developer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the company's multiple Shopify Plus e-commerce websites. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of web development best practices and experience, while understanding the importance of a good user experience.Partner with the Development team to maintain and optimize multiple shopify themesHelp maintain code quality, organization, and automatizationAssist with Shopify admin management for creating products and collections, maintaining and updating site content such as the home page, custom landing pages, and navigation updates, and managing Shopify AppsWork with external vendors to assist in integrating new features to the sitesWork with designers and content creators to ensure website aesthetics and content are in line with company standardsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new website featuresOptimize the website for maximum speed and scalabilityEnsure compatibility with various browsers and devicesWork cross functionally with the Planning and Marketing teams to ensure that all website are up to date for current product launchesPotential Areas to Grow into:

Develop internal automation applications to improve workflow and reduce busy work.Improve site reliability with testing, monitoring, and automation tasks.Work with portfolio of brands to improve sites across all brandsDevelop new themes and applications to improve onboarding of new brandsAnalyzing traffic to inform website maintenance and the effectiveness of marketing strategies and site optimizationsContinuously research, test and propose new Shopify apps or site features to improve revenue or efficiency based on data/metricsStay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologiesMentor junior developers and help improve their skill setMust Haves

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of web development best practices and experience working on a small tech team with many cross functional department leads.

Minimum of 4 years of Shopify development experience (HTML, CSS, Liquid)Strong understanding of Shopify Plus, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and jQueryWorking Understanding of JS frameworks, such as Vue, React, HydrogenKnowledge of responsive web design and developmentComfortable using Visual Studio Code or a similar appExperience using a Package Manager ( Webpack, Yarn, npm)Process oriented and able to multitaskAbility to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, working with a hybrid/remote teamNice to Haves:

An ideal candidate would also have some experience in the following areas.

Experience with deployment and ecommerce tech life cycleCreated shopify apps (public or private) in the past6+ years of experience with a JavaScript Framework, preferably VueBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field (preferred)Experience configuring and integrating e-commerce systems end to endAn understanding of UX concepts and ways to improve user experienceCan write clean and efficient code and review and audit team members codeA quick thinker and a strong communicatorNot afraid to step outside of your comfort zone, can tackle projects independentlyKnow when to lean on your team, and when to step upStrong understanding of various Ecommerce tools, such as Google Analytics, Attentive, etc

Primary Location Salary

$125,000 - $140,000
