POSITION SUMMARY:Under the general supervision of the Supervising Staff Attorney, the Wellness Housing Coordinator will perform specialized administrative work in the day-to-day management and coordination of staff, programs, and activities related to wellness housing, including the Coming Home House. The Wellness Housing Coordinator will also assist the Court Director in planning, developing, and implementing new programs determined necessary by the Yurok Tribal Court, Yurok Justice Advisory Board, and Yurok Tribal Council.Examples of Duties

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Development of policies and operating procedures for the housing programs and services related to Yurok Tribal Court Wellness and Reentry programs.2. Implement internal and external reporting systems and procedures for monitoring and controlling programmatic activities.3. Development of program staff career and training plan requirements designed to improve the job-related effectiveness of each employee.4. Monitor the day-to-day case management operations, groups, and activities for program participants, to ensure service provision is conducted in a timely and effective manner.5. Ensure files are up to date with applicable program requirements.6. Serve as the lead for participant case staffing and attend regular court hearings and agency proceedings when needed.7. Prepare status reports as requested for the Yurok Tribal Court, the Yurok Indian Housing Authority and other courts and agencies when needed.8. Develop community resources for participant services (e.g., employment counseling, housing, anger management).9. Attend and participate in conferences, meetings, and committees as the Yurok Tribal Court representative.10. Oversee and complete necessary intake and orientation on all-new program participants.11. Monitor, initiate, coordinate, and refer clients for UA testing and inpatient and outpatient treatment options.12. Maintain general knowledge of substance use disorders and treatment, including Medication for Opioid Use Disorder.13. Serve as liaison between all applicable Yurok Tribal Court team members and applicable outside agencies.14. Attend Yurok Justice Advisory Board meetings when needed to provide updates on wellness housing activities.15. Provide guidance and supervision of Yurok wellness housing staff and contracted team members.16. Performs other related duties as assigned.Typical Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:1. G8: Bachelor's degree in related field with two years job specified experience.2. G9: Bachelor's degree in related field with three years job specified experience.3. Employees must be willing to acquire any special certifications or attend any training that is determined to be relevant or becomes required of the position in the future.4. Candidates with equivalent combinations of education, training and experience will be considered.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:1. Effective communication skills both orally and in writing2. Excellent organizational and case management skills3. Proficient in using a PC for data entry and research (i.e., Microsoft Office, Excel, Access)4. Knowledge of facilities or agencies that provide services to Native populations.5. Knowledge of the Yurok Tribe and its surrounding communities preferred.6. Be able to work beyond normal Court hours including evening and weekend hours as needed.7. Recognition that in order to serve Yurok People one must know as much as possible about Yurok history, culture and values.Supplemental Information

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs the full range of supervisory duties and responsibilities. Plans work of subordinates based on priorities, nature of assignment. Develops work performance plans and evaluates performance of subordinates. Provides advice, instruction, and guidance to subordinates on work and administrative matters. Effects minor disciplinary actions and determines developmental training needs of employees.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:1. All applicants are subject to the Tribe's Drug and Alcohol Policy including pre-employment screening.2. Valid state issued driver's license and/or the ability to obtain a California or Oregon driver's license. Must be insurable on the Tribe's insurance policy.3. Must pass a background investigation and fingerprint clearance.4. This position requires compliance with the Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act Public Law 101-630; 25 Code of Federal Regulations Part 63 - Indian child Protection and Family Violence Prevention; Crime Control Act of 1990, Employee Background Checks; and Executive Order 12968, Adjudicative Guidelines.5. This position requires adherence to the Yurok Child Support Services Confidentiality Agreement, incumbent will review and sign upon employment.
