HexArmor is looking for a motivated and highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with expertise in both Rails and React to join our growing Atlanta-based Software Engineering team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to design, develop, and maintain our web applications, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and performant. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software that meets the needs of our internal and external customers.

LOCATION

1 Glenlake Parkway - Atlanta, GA 30328 - The team operates on a Hybrid schedule (Tuesdays and Thursdays). Expensed travel to HexArmor Headquarters in Grand Rapids, MI every 6-8 weeks.

RESPONSIBILITIESDesign, develop, and maintain web applications using Rails and React;Collaborate with other engineers to define and implement new applications and features;Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs;Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability;Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members;Mentor early-career software engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement;Troubleshoot and debug complex issues;Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience;5+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on Rails and React;Proficiency in Ruby on Rails, React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS;Proficiency in RSpec, Jest, and Cypress for testing;Experience with writing and testing application code in containerized environments;Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and experience in integrating with back-end services;Experience with database design and management (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL);Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git);Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail;Must have strong communication and collaboration skills;Ability to work in a fast-paced, Agile environment.BONUS QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with various AWS and Azure products and services;Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, especially using tools such as CircleCI;Familiarity with configuring and managing containerized environments and applications utilizing Docker and AWS ECS.Familiarity with other front-end frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap) and libraries (e.g., Material-UI).COMPENSATION
