Description of Duties:
The
Linux System Administrator Lead
supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:

Specialize in the administration and operations of Linux environments
·
Perform cybersecurity compliance, operational sustainment, and other general IT tasks as required to ensure continuous performance and ATO
·
Manage system configuration and operation of servers
·
Manage, configure, maintain client-based computer systems
·
Perform system monitoring, scanning, and response activities
·
Perform administration operations and maintenance activities of hardware and software
·
Perform root cause analysis to troubleshoot system errors and client system issues
·
Perform and maintain DoD Information System Vulnerability Management (IAVM) compliance with routine patching for updates released by vendors
·
Manage, update, and maintain configuration management of all configuration changes to systems, patches and anti-virus software updates
·
Perform system analysis for virtual service health status to include resource utilization and performance requirements to ensure optimal performance of systems
·
Perform routine scans and anti-virus software updates on all systems
·
Perform system automation activities with utilizing scripting tools/languages
·
Provide System Administration support for IT related meetings and configuration change board reviews
·
Provide customer support for mission test events that could require travel to and support from remote locations
·
Provide COMSEC support as required
