Job Description
Tyto Athene is seeking a Part Time Network Administrator
to support our DAU group out of Fort Belvoir, VA. The selected applicant will work as part of an integrated team including cybersecurity specialists, network engineers, service desk analysts, and other personnel. The successful candidate will be responsible for the configuration, implementation and support of an enterprise network as well as supporting the Infrastructure Team with other day-to-day tasks that includes change management, authorized service interruptions, device updates and STIGs.
Responsibilities:
Responsible to maintain LAN/WAN/Wireless services and connectivityDesign and implementation of LAN/WAN/Wireless equipment and technologies to optimize system operation and resource utilizationPerform system capacity analysis and planningResolve performance problems with network componentsProvide resolution of system failures and degradationsMonitor network and systems health, responding appropriately to network alerts and eventsDiagnose and troubleshoot network issues on a day-to-day basisAdhere to Change Control procedures and plan implementations around existing maintenance windowsProvide documentation of projects and installationsIncident and request ManagementRequired:
Experience working in a tiered service model utilizing ITSM tools such as ServiceNowCertifications needed or specialty experience preferred as follows:CiscoAruba WirelessAzure NetworkingCloudflareSolarwinds NPM/NCM
Education/Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or other related discipline and at least 3 years of experience or a combination of applicable education and experienceCurrent Security+ or other DoD Approved 8570 IAT II security certification required as per DOD Cyber Security Exchange website reference.
