DescriptionThe Role : The DevOps Engineer will participate in the development of the cloud-based software architecture that supports critical Space infrastructure. This architecture includes components like the authoritative DOD mission environments; data engineering and wrangling pipelines; application pipelines; and APIs and other endpoints to serve Space missions. A strong DevOps Engineer will have a solid computer science/software development background with knowledge of Automation and Data Engineering workflows.

Demonstrable expertise in software development or software engineeringFamiliarity with AWS, to include managed services, and data engineering-related tools and servicesWorking knowledge of Python and JavaExperience with Agile software development practices and tools such as JIRA and ConfluenceExperience designing and delivering analytic solutions in cloud environmentsFamiliarity with containerization tools and techniques, container orchestration, and workflow management, to include technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes is desiredFamiliarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and techniques, to include technologies such as Ansible and JenkinsDemonstrable experience supporting the design, development, and deployment of data science environments on classified networks is highly desiredYour quals :
MUST BE US CITIZEN capable of obtaining Secret, TS, or TS/SCI clearance4+ years in a software development or software engineering with strong DevSecOps emphasis4+ years developing and deploying software in an AWS DevOps environmentPrevious experience developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC)Bachelor's Degree (BS) or higher in technical field related to software developmentSecurity+ certification strongly preferredAltamira is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
