Provides support to individuals with mental health concerns in a residential environment. Interventions are strength-based and focused on promoting recovery, symptom reduction, increased coping skills, and achievement of the highest level of functioning in the community. Duties include utilizing psychiatric rehabilitation principles to run therapeutic groups, facilitate individual sessions, take individual on community activities, create the therapeutic programming schedule for the facility, and manage a rewards based approach to increase participation.

We are hiring a Full Time Behavioral Health Specialist for Residential Behavioral Facility near Doylestown!

Pay rate:

starting at $18.50/hour

Bonus:

$1000.00 to be paid in 3 increments:

Bonus is for full time employees:$200.00 - After completing 90-day probation$400.00 - After 6 months of employment$400.00 - After one year of employmentSchedule : 8a - 4p

Job Responsibilities:

Assist with the implementation of Psychiatric Rehabilitation Principles into facility programmingFacilitate groups and individuals session as indicatedCreate group programming schedules with other professionalsAssist individuals in the community to achieve recovery goalsMaintain a rewards based system to encourage active participation in programmingBe part of a clinical team that utilizes problem solving and out of the box thinking to help individuals receiving servicesPerform on call duties as assignedAccept supervision from director and actively provide feedback to grow the programPosition Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a human service field is requiredCertified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner is preferred, but not required. Training will be provided for certificationPreferred experience working with a population with severe and persistent mental illnessDriver's licensePhysical requirements to perform essential functions of the job included:

Regularly required to lift 30 lbs.Must be able to lift a minimum of 70 lbs.Must be able to pull a minimum of 50lbs.Must be able to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop.Must be able to regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.Required to regularly stand and walk.Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in CPR from the floor level requiring to work on hands, knees, bending, standing and lifting.Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.The Location:

Salisbury Behavioral Health, LLC - Durham House LTSR in Pipersville PA (about 5 miles outside of Doylestown)
