Software Engineer

S&P Global Market Intelligence Inc. seeks a Software Engineer who will design and develop architectural solutions for Market Intelligence front-end products, real-time services, and standard frameworks. Develop federated data services to provide scalable and performant data Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). Interact with and develop solutions using data storage and retrieval related technologies. Develop and support continuous integration and build automation systems. Develop and support solutions built within third party cloud providers. Develop and support solutions managed in cloud data center. Develop test suites to provide appropriate test coverage using a Test Driven Development (TDD) approach and unit testing, mock testing, and integration testing techniques. Diagnose and resolve functional and performance issues. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, gathering business requirements and translating business requirements into technical requirements to develop cloud-based products, services, and applications. Participate in all scrum ceremonies and follow AGILE best practices. Build high-quality, high-performance, and scalable code. Feed data at scale to clients that are geographically distributed. Produce technical design documents and conduct technical walkthroughs. Document and demonstrate solutions using technical design docs, diagrams, and stubbed code. Follow established set of processes while handling issues and for proper escalation of unresolved issues to appropriate internal and external teams. Implement code fixes and conduct testing. Adhere to predefined procedures when addressing problems and ensure proper escalation of unresolved issues to relevant internal and external teams. Address and resolve production issues, oversee reports, handle change requests, and uphold Service Level Agreement (SLA).REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology and Analytics, or related IT field plus three (3) years of experience as a Software Engineer or related occupation. Three (3) years of experience must include: Implementing distributed Java applications; Spring Boot framework; Test-driven development; Web Services (REST/SOAP) development; Redis and GIT; Managing microservice architecture with Docker and Kubernetes; Operating Web Servers (Linux); Message-oriented middleware; CI/CD (continuous integration/continuous delivery).The anticipated base salary range for this position is $140,113 to $170,400. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses & certifications.
