WANTED: Database Developer, Staff (database programmer or designer) to create, manage, and troubleshoot computer databases. Use code and web architecture to design data systems that can process large amounts of information and keep it secure. In support of DOD Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD(R&E)).
The work will be located in Arlington, VA.

A day in the life of a Database Developer, Staff you will:Designing databases: Creating new databases and modifying existing ones to meet user needs and platform updates.Contribute to protect the nation's Research & Engineering (R&E) technology ecosystem.Writing code: Writing code to interact with databases and develop database applications.Analyzing and maintaining databases: Analyzing and maintaining existing databases, including ensuring performance, security, and availabilityImplementing data management practices: Implementing and managing company data management practices and policiesPerforming common database procedures: Handling common database procedures such as backup, recovery, migration, and upgradeProfiling server resource usage: Profiling server resource usage and optimizing as needed Be on the cutting edge of breakthrough technology for novel or sustained military systems.Collaborate across multiple interagency teams to fortify America's approach to safeguarding science and next generation technology.Crosswalk adversary technology status with our nation's current research cadence and progress.
Job Requirements
BS or higher Degree required in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.8 years of experienceSecret Clearance or TS/SCI Clearance eligibility.Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL).Experience with programming languages such as PL/SQL, C++, Java, and C#, and with page description languages like HTMLProclivity for literature research and data evaluation.Strong oral and written skills.Strong team orientation.Ability to be on-site for classified work and meetings.Proactive and organized.

The salary range for this position is$140k- $170k .Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
