EAG is currently seeking a Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst with experience supporting and developing BI reports for energy companies. Individuals in this position are clever, creative, application-savvy people who are flexible and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.

The person in this role is expected to demonstrate daily the appropriate analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills to fulfill the responsibilities outlined below and generate quality results. Strong time management, written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization, are essential along with the ability to work as part of a team. All members of the EAG team are expected to actively participate in our team environment, communicate with our customers in a professional and service-oriented manner and identify process improvement and optimization opportunities. As EAG continues to grow, members must be able to handle changing priorities, new challenges, and multi-tasking.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collaborate with developers, clients, vendors, and other technical specialists to resolve complex technical challenges.Investigate, analyze, and solve software problems by understanding and mapping client business requirements, processes and objectives.Develop and continuously improve internal and external BI Support processes to drive customer satisfaction.Design and develop models, publish reports, and manage reporting services.Proactively respond to and troubleshoot application issues.Partner with clients to define and prioritize business requirements including issues submitted by the users through ticketing and service requests.Develop and present solutions and recommendations to clients and internal teams.Participate in project activities such as client meetings, process/design workshops, user acceptance test sessions, and weekly status updates.Provide hands-on business and technical analyst activities while completing project deliverables.Ability to work with limited supervision while being self-accountable.Exhibit critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills. Ex: think through the root causes, identify options, make recommendations, effectively communicate rationale.Manage and track time via tickets and project codes across multiple issues, initiatives and projects.POSITION, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS (Minimum Qualifications):

Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Business Administration, an equivalent bachelor's degree, or ability to demonstrate equivalent experience.Advanced knowledge of PL/SQL syntax.Strong knowledge of data visualization with at least one of the following products: Spotfire, Microsoft Report Builder, PowerBI, and/or Tableau.Preferred: Experience with DAX.Experience Design and develop models, publish packages, and manage reporting services.System implementation, data migration, and development experience is required.Solid understanding of database/table structures to enable effective data analysis, troubleshooting, and report design.Experience working with non-technical stakeholders on report design, issue resolution, and maintenance windows.Strong knowledge of change, problem, incident and service management.Strong in all major Microsoft Office products (Word, Power Point, Excel, Visio).Ability to work in a fast-paced, high energy technical environment.High attention towards detail.Strong work ethic and excellent organizational skills.Exceptional oral and written communication skills.Must be eligible to work for ANY employer in the United States; we are unable to sponsor H1B applicants at this time.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

EAG offers a variety of flexible schedules and models which would be confirmed during the interview process.

The selected candidate will work onsite in our downtown Houston office on a hybrid schedule, being present in the office 3 days per week.
