The
Bilingual Youth and Family Therapist
at Seneca’s Therapeutic Outpatient Program is responsible for the ongoing provision of culturally responsive mental health services to youth and their families, including individual and family therapy and child and family team meetings. It is their responsibility to strive to provide the best possible individualized treatment for the youth and families. Services will be provided almost exclusively in the community: in the families’ homes, group homes/STRTPs, foster homes, schools, etc. They are also responsible for documentation to comply with agency-wide requirements, Continuum of Care Reform, as well as the requirements of the counties with whom we work.

Therapeutic Outpatient Program (TOP)
provides Specialty Mental Health Services (SMHS) that enhance the Contra Costa County continuum of care, ensuring that culturally-responsive mental health services for youth with attachment or permanency-related needs are family-driven and informed by a deep understanding of trauma. TOP is designed to include seamless service continuity, close collaboration and coordination with other existing services within the Contra Costa County system of care, flexible to scale up services over time according to youth, family, and county needs, and the ability to provide services in community setting during flexible hours to promote client engagement and effectively meet their individualized service needs.

Responsibilities
Provide weekly individual or family therapy for an average of 10-12 clients.
Meet weekly with clients’ families for family therapy as clinically appropriate.
Facilitate child and family team meetings as appropriate.
Complete written mental health notes, treatment plans, comprehensive assessments, outcome measures, incident reports, and other documentation accurately and timely.
Maintain close communication with other Seneca providers to design, implement, and monitor treatment planning for clients.
Communicate and collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Participate regularly in individual and/or group supervision.
Maintain availability to provide crisis intervention services as needed.
Provide case management and coordinate linkage to other community resources as necessary.
Function as team leader and uphold the ideals of the program.
Commit to and engage in self-evaluation as well as organizational efforts goals, strategies, and systemic practices regarding diversity, equity and inclusion.
QualificationsRequired:
Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or marriage and family therapy
LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC license eligible with the California BBS
Bilingual in
SPANISH
Flexible schedule with ability to work evenings and weekends
Must be at least 21 years of age
Own vehicle, Valid California driver's license and insurability with Seneca's automobile policy
TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements
Must show proof of COVID-19 vaccination
Preferred:
Experience working directly with youth in the child welfare system
Organizational, critical-thinking, and writing skills
Schedule
Full time
Mon - Fri; 10AM - 6:30PM
Hybrid; completion of documention can be done in-home
Flexible schedule with ability to work evenings and weekend as needed
No on call
Benefits
Starting at
$77,440 - $91,440
per year, actual salary is dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualifications for the role.
$4,000 salary increase for BBS licensure
$2,000 sign on bonus!
