Child Protective Specialists

to join our Permanent Family Solutions Network. The Permanent Family Solutions Network realizes the most valuable resources for children are found within the family, neighborhood, and community. Therefore, Child Protection Specialists work to alleviate problems, strengthen bonds, and maintain families together whenever possible, striving to engage and empower families.

Schedule:

Full-time, Non-Exempt (Mon-Fri, 8a-5p)

Location:

Whitehall, OH

(Position requires community travel and in home client visitation)

What you'll do:Conducts required monitoring visits with families and children served by PFSNSchedules visits and coordinates family-based services for children and families in their home, school, and community; monitors placement/treatment of children in out of home care (i.e., relative placement, foster care, residential care, Independent Living, etc.)Develops family-centered case plans in partnership with families; monitors family's progress towards identified case plan goals; adjusts the type and intensity of case plan services as neededIdentifies indicators of age-appropriate development in all domains for children of varying ages.As able, adapts services to meet the needs and individual preferences of clients and family members including but not limited to culture norms, language and interpreter needs, and communication preferences.Develops collaborative relationships with service providers tailored to the needs of culturally diverse healthcare consumers and family members.Attends multi-disciplinary diagnostic and technical staff conferences to assess needed services.Transports clients when taking protective custody, when placing them in substitute care, and when changing placement location; transports clients to appointments (i.e., court hearings, medical appointments, counseling sessions, police station, etc.) and to necessitate the delivery of client services.Consistently exhibits & models professionalism in language, dress, and manner. Is courteous in all interactions with clients, families, and colleagues.Handles difficult situations in a professional and respectful manner.Who you are:

Bachelor's degree in a human service, or related field requiredPrevious Child Welfare experience a plusActive Ohio driver's license and proof of car insuranceOur benefits:
