Job Goal:
To provide support for students and staff with drug and alcohol education, prevention, intervention and consultation.
Qualifications:Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor preferredResponsibilities:
Design and facilitate at least Focus on a variety of alcohol and other drug related topics.Oversee a student run-taskforce addressing and enforcing school AOD policies.Provide psycho-education, and individualized support services.Connect to internal (SPS) or any external resources/support services.Administer D/A evaluations and provide written report with risk level and recommendations.Provide individualized student support to Student Services, as well as internal and external referrals.Co-Supervise weekly community service group; feeding the homeless.Friday afternoons, 2:30pm - 6:30pmDesign and conduct several weekly groups focused on a variety of alcohol and other drug-related topics including (a) overseeing student-run taskforce (addressing and enforcing school AOD policies), and (b) processing and psycho-educational groups.
4 Groups a week:
2 Next Wave grades 6-8 (1 morning, 1 afternoon)2 Full Circle grades 9-12 (1 morning, 1 afternoon)
Terms of Employment:
Part TimeSchedule will be based on a school year schedule (August - June)Maximum of 19.5 work hours per week$30 per hour worked
