Inside the RoleThe Product Validation Engineering (PVE) vehicle integration team is responsible for sub-system and full vehicle electrical and electronic validation of DTNA products. This includes our Freightliner, Western Star, Medium Duty and Electrical Vehicles platforms. This position is part of the Powertrain E/E Integration team within PVE that is responsible for vehicle level powertrain integration topics for combustion and electric trucks with proprietary and third party powertrains. Our validation is conducted in the workshop, on the road, and at offsite testing facilities. This team interfaces with many departments in the organization including TT/S, Chassis and Detroit Engineering. This role will focus on leading 3rd party powertrain integration and supporting e-vehicle powertrain validation. You will be responsible for defining and executing the strategy for powertrain validation within the PTM department. You will partner with TT/S to ensure that we have a robust end to end validation process that will enable DTNA to provide best in class powertrain functionality to our customers. Additionally, you will be responsible for leading projects, process improvement initiatives and continuous improvement ideas within the PTM department in PVE. Powertrain integration is a major key to our success at DTNA and is certainly an exciting opportunity for a candidate looking to explore new technical challenges alongside an opportunity to build their leadership skills cross functionally.
