Now, we're looking for dedicated addiction counselors to join us in our mission to transform lives!

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced, caring, and reliable Addiction Counselor to join our Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Program. The counselor will work with clients participating in one of our comprehensive addiction programs that includes: outpatient (OP), intensive outpatient (IOP), and early intervention services, including those referred through DUI services. You'll provide individual, group, and family counseling, that supports clients in their journey toward recovery. This role will play a key part in the growth and success of our addiction recovery programs.

Classification:

W2 or 1099 -Fee for Service status (based on whether the candidate's services meet specific criteria).Key Responsibilities:

Facilitate the intake process, ensuring all necessary consents and releases are signed.Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments and interpretative summaries within 5 days of admission.Develop and update comprehensive treatment plans, working closely with clients and the care team.Maintain an assigned caseload in compliance with COMAR and CARF regulations.Provide individual and group counseling services for dually diagnosed clients.Ensure regular weekly contact with clients and document their progress.Provide ethical and culturally-sensitive counseling.Lead group therapy sessions that focus on building recovery skills and fostering community.Administer periodic/random drug and alcohol tests and document per state regulations, and agency policy and procedures.Provides recommendations and referrals based off comprehensive assessments and consumer needs.Ensure all court orders are adhered to.Create aftercare transition plans and complete discharge summaries in a timely manner.Qualifications:

Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) in Maryland or any of the following: LCPC, LCSW-C, CAC-AD, LGADC, LGPC, LMFT.Bachelor's Degree preferred (Associate Degree minimum).Strong knowledge of substance use disorders, medical and psychosocial impacts of addiction, and withdrawal management.Familiarity with state regulations (COMAR), DEA regulations, and CARF standards.Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.Exceptional documentation and communication skills.Expertise in addiction treatment trends, overdose symptoms, and community resources.Who We're Looking For:
