Our client, a leader in the financial services industry, has an excellent opportunity for a Mainframe Security Engineer to work on a 12-month contract-to-hire position in Pittsburgh, PA, or Orlando, FL. The pay rate is $66/hour w-2. This position is available for W-2 only. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate to Pittsburg, PA or Orlando, FL as the position is hybrid working onsite three days a week.

Responsibilities of the Mainframe Security Engineer: * Support the mainframe security environment for IBM Z/OS systems, focusing on RACF but also involving ACF2 and TopSecret. * Improve security setup for existing products and engineer security solutions/setup for new products. * Provide support for third-party vendor software utilities and packages as well as in-house developed solutions that manage security environments. * Evaluate existing security provisioning/setup, identify possible gaps, recommend solutions, and communicate effectively with technical, operational, and business teams. * Identify security and system vulnerabilities and collaborate with groups to resolve them. * Interact with auditors and provide necessary information to complete auditing tasks.
Requirements for the Mainframe Security Engineer: * Specialist in Mainframe Security * Experience with RACF, ACF2, and TopSecret security tools. * Strong ability to evaluate and improve security setups and engineer new solutions. * Proven track record of working with third-party vendor software and in-house security solutions. * Excellent communication skills for interacting with technical, operational, and business teams, as well as auditors.
