Lead Therapist
Qualifications:
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP):
Must hold a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a school accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA).
Must hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA.
Physical Therapist (PT):
Must be a graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy.
Degree Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required if graduated before 1/1/2016.
Doctorate of Physical Therapy required if graduated after 1/1/2016.
International Candidates: Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate is preferred.
Occupational Therapist (OT):
Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy.
Degree Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required if graduated before 1/1/2002.
Master’s degree required if graduated after 1/1/2002.
International Candidates: Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy; a Master’s degree is preferred.
Licensing:
Must hold or be eligible for a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state where services will be provided.
State licensure must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment.
Certifications:
Must be certified in CPR or obtain certification within the first 90 days of employment.
Must maintain all certifications and licenses as required.
Preferred:
Membership in APTA (for PT), AOTA (for OT), or ASHA (for SLP) is preferred.
Experience:
At least two years of experience working as a PT, OT, or SLP is required.
Skills:
Strong problem-solving skills in both clinical and operational issues.
Demonstrates a positive attitude and excellent customer service.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift 50 pounds, assist with lifting up to 100 pounds, and push up to 300 pounds.
Other Requirements:
Must be willing to work at other locations as assigned.
Valid driver’s license required if assigned to drive a company vehicle.
If using a personal vehicle, proof of insurance and a valid driver’s license are required.
