Information Technology Technician Travel

About the position:

The Information Technology Technician is an integral part of the DoD team and the smooth functioning of the program and its systems. The contractor shall staff IT-focused role(s) with professionals who keep to the mission requirements, including accuracy and timeliness, as well as working for those in the military community who require seamless IT functioning.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Provides technical expertise, recommendations, and written solutions to the Business Development Team to include but not limited to the following:

Procurement, imaging, security patches, software loads, equipment inventory, diagnostics, repair, receive, log, troubleshoot, analyze, system compliance, virus check programs, service packs, hot fixes, and resolve operating system upgrades on MMIS.Provide management of configuration analysis, development, and integration for server, laptop, desktop-based systems, switches, computer hardware, land mobile radios, satellite phones, and all other communication equipment to include overall administration of networking, configuring, diagnosing, updating, developing and resolving any issues by working with Base Communications for support applied across the contract.Load, integrate and analyze various Government provided hardware and software application programs onto the Government-furnished computer systems and communication devices including radios and satellite phones in accordance with Department of Defense IT standards.Load software updates issued by the government or commercial vendors as directed in Notice to Airmen (NOTAMS). Ensures all drivers and externally connected devices function properly after installing the update.Maintain databases on all hardware devices and software configurations fielded to include Office Notebooks, Mobile notebooks, Rugged notebooks, Rack servers, Rugged Notebook Server, Slate Tablets, and Convertible Tablets.Use all approved sources for purchasing equipment and software.Upon delivery, inspect the hardware and receipt processed in the Medical Material Information System.Establish and execute a modernization plan for fielded computer systems and maintain a database of current configurations fielded as coordinated/approved by the Government.Required Skills/Abilities:

Use of different operating systems.Data base administration.Use of MS Office programs.Troubleshooting multiple operating systems.Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.Education and Experience :

Associate degree in Information Technology or higher.10 years of IM/IT field experience with commensurate skills, knowledge, and background.DoD Information Assurance A+ and Security+ baseline certification.Possess or be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate level of Security Clearance.Job Type:
