Sr. ACE Developer
We are looking for an experienced IBM ACE (Application Connect Enterprise) Developer for an initial 3-month contract. The project will begin a senior level role and you would be involved with sprint planning, API diagrams, API development and working with various teams, including offshore resources. Our client is an insurance client with multiple complex integration points and needs someone with strong overall ACE skills (ESQL) and API understanding. This is a remote work role, but some onsite availability in the Chicago North suburbs would be a plus.
Job ResponsibilitiesWork with PM, architects, BA's and offshore team relative to integration design and developmentProvide technical insight for integration approachesDesign, develop and test integration solutions using ACEWork closely with and take direction from Integration work stream and project leadersCoordinate integration development work with Integration teamPerform code review and unit testing for each integration interfaceWork with testing teams for integration testing and QA testingIdentify and support technical risk management with the Integration teamResolve technical issues related to integration design and development workPerform as an individual contributor for integration design and development workContinuously pursue opportunities for improvementRequirements
Strong IBM ACE design and development skills, especially custom ESQL developmentWorking knowledge of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) architectures.Strong skills in ESQL, Graphical mapping, Java compute, Web services, MQ, SOAP, HTTP, File and Database nodes.8+ years of hands-on development, primarily in the technologies and skills mentioned aboveStrong skills in auditing and monitoring message flows.Strong skills in XML, XSD, WSDL, JSON, RESTful, Flat file, CSV message formats.Experience in SQL Server and DB2 is a plus.Experience working on large, mission critical projectsAbility to effectively deal with and resolve issuesProactive and self-starterExperience integrating package solutionsStrong understanding of and experience in all phases of the software development lifecycleKnowledge of the insurance industry is a plusKnowledge of ACORD standards is a plusExperience with iterative development methods a plus
