Who You Are
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our growing team. We are seeking candidates with expertise primarily in React and Python. As a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer at Spot & Tango, you will play a pivotal role in building scalable web applications for our customers and for internal company use. You will also play a leadership role on the team, mentoring and helping to upskill more junior colleagues within the engineering function.
Responsibilities:Play a lead role designing and building new features for our core products, primarily using React, React Native and DjangoDefine and enforce best practices throughout front end, backend, and assets repositoriesEnsure high code quality by conducting thorough testing prior to integrationCollaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure web applications achieve their business goalsOptimize applications for maximum performance and responsiveness, especially on mobile devicesMentor and coach less experienced developersBuild and maintain load testing capabilities in our systemTroubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and issuesImplement security best practices to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of user dataStay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and apply them to enhance our productsParticipate in code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure compliance with coding standardsContribute to the development of technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the teamHelp us scale the company, the culture, and our productsQualifications:
BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field strongly preferred5+ years of professional experience as a Full-Stack Software EngineerProficiency in React or React Native, with a strong portfolio showcasing your workFamiliarity with Django and PythonExperience in developing and deploying web applicationsChampaign for software testing-unit testing, load testing and integration testingFamiliarity with RESTful APIs and third-party integrationsExpert understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and TypeScriptExperience using Storybook for FE component standardizationSolid SQL database design and management skillsExperience with AWS services preferredExperience with version control systems (e.g., Git)Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a collaborative teamExperience working in a startup environment, and familiarity with DTC (Direct-to- Consumer) business models and e-commerce is a plusAbility to find simple solutions to complex problemsExcellent communication skillsDog lovers are a plus!
