JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting into the Data Analytics Manager, this individual will gain exposure to overall business analytics and data management. The intern will enhance their technical skills using SQL, Tableau report visualization, data modeling with Knime, excel report design and effectively communicate and present their analysis.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist data analyst with business analysis and ad hoc requestsDocument processes/requirements for reports, models, and standard proceduresHelp design, create, analyze customer data modelsHelp Analytics Manager with customer behavior analysis as neededAssist in managing and organizing files on local/shared drives and with database
REQUIREMENTS:EDUCATION:
Pursuing a business, data science or computer science degree.EXPERIENCE:
Previous work or internship experience with Data/Business Analysis
SKILLS:
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel a must, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
Excel comfortability with pivot tables, lookup & nested formulas
Proficient with programming languages like SQL
SQL comfortability with large data sets, joining tables, aggregating data
Familiarity with analysis tools like Tableau, Power BI, Python, Knime, or AlteryxStrong communication and interpersonal skills; must be personable yet persistentComfortable forming insights & presenting findings to various team membersBe highly organized and bring a high level of attention to detail and intellectual rigor, while working under tight deadlines and on multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to work well with multiple teamsAbility to multi-task and work within provided deadlines.
PHYSICAL & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to come into NYC office 3 days a week
