Design, develop, implement, and manage cloud platform applications focused on business value generation across the business. Design and troubleshoot complex software application development and cloud database schemas, and perform enhancements to existing platform and web-based application tools. Design, develop and implement cloud-based software application platforms, hybrid data mesh, public cloud data warehouse, and data transformation pipelines using Python, Scala, Spark & SQL, among others. This includes developing software applications to handle automation of operational tasks and workload distribution in public cloud infrastructure such as Amazon Web Services (AWS). Engineer data pipelines and convert data models into graph models using a modern framework and software stacks with Glue, Kinesis and Athena software tools. Document systems infrastructure requirements, and test plans for platform application development efforts. Test new applications/tools using cloud native architecture and tools sets for DevOps/Automation. Work with other software developers during the design, development and delivery of end to end cloud systems and pipeline applications and their process flows to ensure scalable and robust solutions for end users. Requirements:Master’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or Computer Engineering, plus three years of experience in the position offered or as a Network and Systems Administrator.* *All required experience must have included performing database design and metadata management using Alation Data Catalog and Data Lineage; performing open lineage visualization using Marquez; performing ETL processes for data warehousing with tools Snowflake and AWS Redshift; data modeling and management using Denodo virtualization tool; applying understanding of data quality metrics, data classification, data risk management and data governance standards and tools; conducting vendor product integration of data management tools; using Python Fast API to build API gateways, Python for data management, Advanced SQL for data analysis and dashboard builds, and Spark for ETL on data streams; cloud computing on AWS, including EC2, IAM role management, AWS S3 as data lake, AWS Redshift data warehouse, and messaging queues SNS, JMS and Solace; applying machine learning and AI principles for system sizing, load estimation, concurrent task execution, and designing high throughput and low latency systems; and working with Linux/Unix bash scripting, YAML configuration management, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Gitlab, Ansible), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Podman), telemetry, observability, and software monitoring with Grafana, Loki, Prometheus and Splunk. #LI-DNI
