Overview:HKS Dallas is seeking a Security Engineer to join our team.

Strong background in information security, hands-on experience with various security tools, and proficiency in managing cloud environments. This role requires a proactive individual who can collaborate cross-functionally, design effective security controls, and stay abreast of industry trends to ensure our organization remains secure and compliant.

Responsibilities:Manages security tools such as Okta, Cloudflare, Mimecast, CrowdStrike, Defender, Sentinel SIEM, and Palo Alto firewallsInterfaces effectively with systems engineering teams to address and mitigate security risks through appropriate solutions and controlsDesigns and implements methods for assessing compliance with security standards, procedures, and guidelinesIdentifies and executes opportunities to automate security controlsDesigns and builds controls to address identified security risks and eventsDefines clear, concise, and executable SOPs and documentation for any implemented solutions to ensure formal operational handoffProvides support during security incident responses and writes comprehensive security incident reportsResponds, analyzes, remediates, and documents actions performed to resolve threat conditionsProactively searches for indicators of compromise and escalate finding to leadershipProvides 24/7/365 support upon request by management on an as-needed basisPerforms other duties assigned by leadershipEmbraces a culture of continuous service improvement and service excellenceStays current on security industry trendsQualifications:B.A./B.S. degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience3-5+ years in the Information Security fieldAdvanced Information Security Certification (CISSP, CISM) preferredExperience with Intune, Tenable, Mimecast, Okta, next-generation EDR tools, and SIEMProficiency with Microsoft Azure and AWSExperience managing Office 365 and Azure environmentsExperience with Palo Alto firewall managementExperience with Windows system administrationWell-rounded background in network, host, database, and application securityExperience implementing security controls in IT environmentsExperience driving a culture of security awarenessExperience administering endpoint devices or web application serversExperience with logging and alerting platforms, including SIEM integrationCurrent understanding of industry trends and emerging threatsKnowledge of incident response methodologies and technologiesStrong customer service, interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of staffStrong work ethic and eagerness to produce high quality, accurate resultsAbility to proactively problem solve and apply innovative solutionsAbility to work and collaborate in a team environment, and ability to work independently and prioritize workAbility to work on multiple projects at the same timeAbility to effectively meet deadlines at expected qualityTravel may be required#LI-KT1If you currently work for HKS, please submit your application via the
