Position Summary:Under the supervision of a Clinical Manager provides clinical consultation and backup administrative assistance for the program's clinical staff. Also, provides individual therapy and case management and/or group education and therapy for a reduced caseload of patients with alcohol and other drug dependency problems.Competencies:Education:Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health or related discipline.Knowledge:Comprehensive knowledge of individual, group and/or family therapeutic techniques sufficient to provide clinical consultation to therapists/counselors in a substance abuse treatment setting.Knowledge of general policies and procedures governing substance abuse treatment programs.

Skills:Must have high level of analytical ability necessary to gather, interpret and communicate data related to patient evaluations and ongoing treatment.Must have oral communication skills that allow effective clinical consultation to therapists/counselors.Must have interpersonal skills necessary to provide counseling and treatment to patients and to coordinate patient's status.

Must have the following licensure in order to perform independent psychotherapy:Certified Social Worker- Clinical (LCSWC), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Clinical Counselor- Marriage and Family Therapist (LCMFT), Certified Professional Counselor- Marriage and Family Therapist (CPC-MFT), Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC), or Licensed Psychologist.Three to five years in substance abuse or related mental health treatment; experience in a clinical setting.
