CoDE
is the technology arm of USCS, and we are on a mission to deliver custom software solutions to enable the efficient automated operations at our cold storage facilities. Our next generation warehouse management system directs effective operations at our facilities, interfaces with control systems of autonomous vehicles and autonomous storage/retrieval systems, automates electronic transactions with our partners, and interfaces with off-the-shelf transportation and labor management systems.
The Job Details:
We are looking for a Platform Engineer with leadership experience to design and build a software development and runtime platform using infrastructure as code principals. You will lead a team of DevOps engineers to build disposable infrastructure. The team will implement continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines to automate provisioning, deploying and monitoring Java based applications in a hybrid-cloud environment.
You will report to the Sr. Software Development Manager in this role.
Some of the things expected from you include the following:
Extensive experience with cloud native technologies such as Red Hat Open Shift.Extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines and IAC tools such as Azure DevOps, Ansible and Terraform.Extensive experience with tools such as Jenkins, Maven, Sonar, Elastic.Experience with building, deploying, and monitoring Java applications.Experience working effectively with remote and internal software development teams.Qualifications:
Education
BS/MS degree in Computer Science or a related subject or equivalent industry experienceExperience
3+ years of experience working in DevOps, Platform Engineering or Site Reliability.Strong experience configuring and administering Linux virtual machines.Strong experience building, configuring, containerizing and deploying Java applications.Strong experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, and Terraform.Strong experience with DevOps platforms such as Azure DevOps.Experience with site reliability principals such as redundancy, monitoring and performance tuning.Experience in a hybrid-cloud environments.Abilities You Will Need to Have:
