Job Purpose:
A Material Handler Operators handles, moves and stores various non-hazardous and hazardous materials within a warehouse. Their main duties include loading and unloading different transport items, recording inventory statuses and making sure deliveries properly match purchase orders.
Key Accountabilities:Follow manufacturing methods to perform normal job tasks in a safe manner under the direction of the supervisor group leader or experienced associates in the areaWork with partner in most casesPerform general clean up to keep work area clean and organizedPull materials from stock for the Production and deliver the materials to manufacturing location according to the pick for the work order.Move materials from and to warehouse as well as between operations within facilityResponsible for the proper use of the available transportation meansMaintain communication with the waste contracted companies for general waste elimination and Metal scrap eliminationRequired Education & Preferred Certifications
2+ years of experience in similar manufacturing environment.Required Knowledge / Skills
Ability to read and interpret routine instructionsAbility to perform basic mathematical calculationsAbility to operate material forklift and overhead crane and/or obtain certification.Basic computer skills
