As a Senior Lead Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector in Base Compute organization, you exhibit both depth and breadth of knowledge regarding software, applications, and technical processes across multiple technical disciplines. You also have a specialization in a specific domain within infrastructure engineering to drive programs or initiatives consisting of multiple technologies and applications.

Applies deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies focused on analyzing complex data and systems, anticipating issues, and finding ways to mitigate riskWorks with other platforms to architect and implement changes required to resolve issues and modernize the organization and its technology processesManages infrastructure engineering in accordance with business requirementsDrives results and implements multiple complex programsDrives thought leadership within the product lineExecutes work according to compliance standards, risk and security, and business objectivesConsiders upstream/downstream system or technical implications and advises on mitigation actionsAdvises junior engineers and technologistsAdds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respectRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on Infrastructure engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experienceExtensive experience with infrastructure engineering in an enterprise environment with a demonstrated focus on integration with a heterogeneous environment, creating, documenting & automating test harnesses and results, using data to set firmwide technical standardsAdvanced knowledge of distributed systems running either Windows Server, UNIX/Linux Server and the underlying hardware and hypervisorsKnowledge of one or more areas of infrastructure engineering such as networking, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance assessmentsAdept in specific infrastructure technology and programming languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, etc.)Deep technical knowledge across multiple domainsDeep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private cloudsExperience translating technical results and requirements to business language and presenting to leadership teamsPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Exposure to managing budgetsExperience in infrastructure virtualization with VMware, Hyper-V, KVM or other hypervisorsExperience in chaos engineering and testing with tools such as GremlinExperience translating technical results and requirements to business language and presenting to leadership teams
