About the jobAre you a BI Developer in search of your next opportunity? Our Plano-based client is hiring a BI Developer responsible for collecting business requirements, evaluating, recommending, implementing, maintaining, supporting, and improving business intelligence solutions, including designing, coding, testing, and deploying datasets, dashboards, and reports in Power BI or similar tools.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee product issues such as defects, patches & upgrades, including deployment, testing & post-production validation. May also implement patches & upgrades directlyDefine, guide, and deliver medium-to-large business intelligence projects from beginning to end, including directing work for BI Specialists and BI AnalystsContribute to building the development standards and guide the junior resources to follow the standards in implementing the solutionsTest business intelligence solutions, including creating test plans/cases/scripts and implementing test plansAuthor and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for processes, procedures, and dashboard/report designsProvide operational support & incident management for systems, including proactively update internal clients & relevant parties on status changes & issues encounteredDevelop and deliver training about data marts and business intelligence including continuing education and initial training for new users across the companyAssist the BI Leader in developing BI strategic roadmap and data governance framework
QUALIFICATIONS:
4+ years of Power BI experienceStrong understanding of data & analytics fundamentals including the various data modeling approachesKnowledge of object-oriented programming and finite state systemsWell-versed with database technologies such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or No SQL databasesKnowledge of programming languages such as SQL, R, DAX/MDX, or PythonExperience with BI tools, including Tableau, Power BI, or equivalentCloud platform experience is a plusExperience with other Power Platform technologies is a plusExperience with delivering data analysis solutions to business needs
