Our challenge

We are looking for a Database Programmer to join a technologically advanced team focusing on developing and enhancing the Lending applications. Candidate must have strong expertise in data modelling, database programming and database concepts and experience in implementing mission critical applications. Candidate should be fluent in related technologies including database indexes, query tuning and optimization and associated development tools. To be successful, the role will require the individual to understand the banking technology landscape, and to offer creative solutions that integrate current capabilities with proprietary system builds.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Alpharetta, GA is $100k - $110k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:Programming using SQL and PL/SQL and related technologies

Query turning and optimization

Provide solutions to the data engineering challenges

Work as part of a banking Agile Squad

Work in the Agile development methodologies, collaborating with business and technology teams located globally

Candidate must have good communication skills and can lead IT deliverables

Actively contribute and participate in sprint grooming and planning discussions, daily stand-ups, and Agile ceremonies

Requirements:

You are:

5+ years of experience working with highly available and large volume databases

Deep understanding of database concepts and related technologies

Strong experience in database SQL and PL/SQL programming with DB2 & SQL Server databases

Hands-on experience with performance tuning, optimizing database queries, etc.

Hands-on experience with high performance data processing

Hands-on experience with tools for Version Control, Job Scheduling, etc.

Experience in collaborating with partners and stakeholders across geography and time zones

Good communication skills and should be able to work across both Business Users and IT teams across geographical regions and time zones as well as the ability to lead IT deliverables

Practical working experience in Agile development methodologies

Minimum BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.

It would be great if you also had:

Understanding of requirements of large enterprise applications (security, entitlements, etc.)

Understanding of modern databases (NoSQL, Cloud based etc.)

Exposure to Snowflake
