GLOTECH, Inc. is seeking an experienced IT Product Owner - Data Platform to support the corporate office of United Parks & Resorts located in Orlando, FL. This position is responsible for the data platforms that enable data delivery teams, ensuring the underlying capabilities meet the needs and preferences of the product's stakeholders, while being aligned with business and technology leadership strategy. The main duties include determining the overall vision of the platform, managing prioritization, and deciding the features that deliver the highest quality and most valuable deliverables to the organization. This requires collaborating with internal end users and their leadership teams to understand and anticipate their needs, translate them into requirements, ensure development delivers quality solutions through a prioritized backlog.Strategize with business stakeholders and technology leadership to define the vision of data platforms.
Collaborate with business stakeholders and technology leadership to define the costs and value of the platformCreate and maintain platform roadmaps based on the vision, user needs, solution architecture, feasibility, and costEnable all stages of data delivery supply chain, including waterfall, agile, and CI/CD environmentsDevelop and refine high quality backlog work itemsManaging and prioritizing and communicating platform status to stakeholders, delivery team members, and leadership.Contributes, maintains, and continuously improve data engineering delivery processesParticipating in meetings with end users, developers, as well as with business and technology leadershipExperience and passion for data governance and data quality initiatives.Qualifications
STRONG leadership and communication skillsExperience with cloud data ops, data management and data engineering including data integration and interoperability best practicesExperience across complex environments with multiple stakeholders with competing priorities, interests, and demandsEmpathy for end users, team members, and stakeholdersExperience with on-premises and cloud data environments (including GCP/Big Query and SQL Server) specifically in delivery and valueStrong technical data skills with SQL, python, terraformAbility and desire to roll up your sleeves and accomplish tactical goals as necessary for your platform.
