Responsibilities

ResponsibilitiesPeraton is seeking a motivated professional to join our team as a Senior Software Developer to support a program with the US Department of Agriculture.Primary Responsibilities :Design, develop, code, test, and debug software.

Develop Junit tests to support code coverage as part of the CI / CD pipelineRun SonarQube reports and address blockers, critical and major issues, and code vulnerabilitiesProvide analytical support and technical advice during the conceptualization, development, and implementation phases.Review and evaluate systems and software for adherence to government directives, standards, guidelines, and criteria concerning software safety and systems safety.Participate in the agile ceremonies and interface with the agile team(s) and other program staff as required.Communicate effectively in written and verbal communication coupled with strong listening skillsBe able to manage multiple assignments, changing priorities, and work independently with little oversight.Keep current with technology trends, identity innovative solutions to current problems, and recommend integration strategies to incorporate new technology into current pipeline.Provide deployment and occasional off hours support

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications5 years with Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related degree from an accredited institution.U.S. Citizenship required and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.3+ years of experience with J2EE programming using Spring Framework including dependency injection, Spring MVC, Spring JDBC.3+ years of relevant database and system development experience for large scale information technology and database systems utilizing Java and SQL Server.Preferred Qualifications:Possess a Sun/Oracle Java Developer certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hireExperience with automated unit testing including use of mocking frameworks (e.g. Mockito)Experience with JavaScript frameworks like AngularJS and NodeJS, jQueryExperience implementing applications using AWSExperience with web services technologies such as SOAP, HTTP, WSDL, XSD and RESTExperience using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)Basic understanding of Accessibility (Section 508)

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
