Position Goal: The Social Worker will provide both direct and consultative support to students requiring social work support and work cooperatively with school personnel in the identification, diagnosis, and remediation of individual students with specialized needs.
Responsibilities:
Provide crisis interventionServe as consultant to educational staffFunction as Student Support Team CoordinatorParticipate in identification and diagnosis of student problemsProvide individual and group counseling in social, emotional and behavioral issuesProvide referrals and collaboration with community agenciesAssist in development of behavioral intervention plansConduct social developmental assessmentsFunction as liaison with school, home, hospital and social agenciesAdvocate for needs of students and familiesSupervise and train social work interns as neededPerforms other tasks and projects as assigned by School Principal
