Job Description:Client is looking for a Data Engineer to join the Infrastructure Automation team. Client has over 70 million customers, and developers all overthe world rely on our storage, compute, and virtualized services via Client Web Services. Our success depends on our world-class network and hardwareinfrastructure; we're handling massive scale and rapid integration of emergent technologies. Our goal is to become "The Infrastructure Platform" for theworld. The Infrastructure Automation team is responsible for delivering the software that powers our infrastructure.Responsibilities:

As a Data Engineer you will be working in one of the world's largest and most complex data transformation environments in AWS.You will be developing and improving data tables (through API, SNS topics, S3) that give our customers timely, flexible and structured access to their data.You will be responsible for designing and implementing metrics within a platform using third-party and in-house development tools, modeling metadata, building reports and dashboards.You will work with business customers in understanding the business requirements and implementing solutions to support analytical and reporting needs.Able to build scalable solutions along with adherence to privacy/security standardsRequired Skills & Experience:

7-10 years of related experience.5+ years' experience with AWS services (Lambda, Gateway, SNS, Firehose, etc.)Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJSGood knowledge of SQL and other reporting solutions like Quicksight or TableauShould have experience developing complex data models and implementation across large scale systems.A good candidate has strong analytical skills and enjoys working with large complex data sets.A good candidate can partner with business owners directly to understand their requirements and provide data which can help them observe patterns and spot anomalies.Preferred:

10 years AWS experiencePrior e-commerce experienceStory Behind the Need - Business Group & Key Projects

Business Group: Delivery service partner (DSP) program. Last mile of supply chain. Team handles performance metrics for delivery partners and drivers. I.e. Drivers have metrics to meet on daily basis: safety, quality, productivityReason for Request: Increase bandwidth for technology transformation project, metrics publishing/ performance data infrastructure (PDI) migration. Better data and publishingTypical Day in the Role:

Measure drivers' metricsHeads down analysis workSome interface with tech teams who provide driver metric dataWorking on PDI project and data migrationEach project takes 2-4 weeks25% team interface, 75% heads down workWorking in Python and within AWS services (Lambda, Gateway, SNS, etc)SQL reportingCompelling Story & Candidate Value Proposition:
