Field/network Support Technician

TEKsystems has partnered with a government customer in Fort Lewis, WA to identify a strong resource for their Network support / Desktop support team. Ideal candidates would have an Active TS/SCI, Security+ CE certification and have ability to get a Windows O/S certification prior to starting.*Description:*
* Under general supervision, monitors and responds to technical control facility hardware and software problems utilizing hardware and software testing tools and techniques* May interface with contractor support service groups to ensure proper escalation during outages or period of degraded system performance* May assist with installation of terminals and associated hardware* May provide network server support* Requires strong knowledge of PC/Network communications hardware/software, in a multi- protocol environment, and network management software* Provide Tier I and II support at remote field and garrison sites* Perform server and desktop installation, basic cabling* Perform systems administration of desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks* Provide desktop system management involving account monitoring, security, operating system (OS) installation, and other local area system administration related functions*Skills:*Support, Desktop, Tcp/ip, Active directory, Windows 10, Router, Troubleshooting, Infrastructure, Cisco switches, Network troubleshooting, Help desk support, Routers and switches, Network support*Additional Skills:*
* Be capable of running an entire remote site by themselves with demanding customers in austere or garrison locations.* Maintain and load cryptographic device and keys.* Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair on many types of hardware and software.* Provide advice and training to end users.* Troubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.* Set up administrator and service accounts and maintain system documentation.* IT Hardware), reaching/bending/kneeling (i.e. plug in cables) and other moderately strenuous activity.*Qualifications*1) TS/SCI2) Security+ CE3) Experience with Desktop and network support4) Windows O/S certification5) Intermediate level degree + experience requirement:- 6 years with Bachelor's degree- 8 years with AA degree- 8 years if they're working towards any type of degree*****We reserve the right to pay above or below the posted wage based on factors unrelated to sex, race, or any other protectedclassification.
