QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

Social Worker IEnrollment with a Master's Degree program with 1 field practicum course completed and at least 5 years professional experience in a child welfare setting working with intensive need foster youth and resource families. (A Community Care Licensing exception request must be submitted and approved by Community Care Licensing)Social Worker II

Master's degree from an accredited or state approved graduate school in social work or social welfare, marriage, family, and child counseling, child psychology, child development, counseling psychology, social psychology, clinical psychology, educational psychology, education with an emphasis on counseling, or an area that qualifies for licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical CounselorSocial Worker III

A Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)Meet Community Care Licensing requirements for Social Work Personnel, as follows:

3 semester units or 100 days of field practice/experience in an agency setting at the Master's Degree level.9 semester units related to children and families or 18 months experience working with children and families.3 semester units in working with minority populations, 6 months experience in working with minority populations, or 6 months in-service training in working with minority populations within the first year of employment as a condition of employment.3 semester units in child welfare, or two years' experience in public or private child welfare social services setting.At least one year of experience working with youth who have serious behavioral challenges. This can include experience gained in a field placement setting, internship, or other position serving youth with behavioral challenges

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

All Social Workers

Participate in program 24-hour on-call rotationSupport general recruitment effortsCase management of youth/families as assignedSupport family visitation as neededSupport placement efforts for placement of the youth or non-minor dependent in the approved Resource Family homeComplete clear, accurate, and timely assessments, case notes, and reportsConduct family evaluations for potential Resource Families and complete written reportsConduct family re-evaluations for approved Resource Families and complete written report updatesKnowledge of family systems issues, the use of active listening and positive behavioral supportsKnowledge of Community Care Licensing regulations and seeking consultation as neededCommunicate effectively and respectfully with all members of Child and Family TeamsMaintain youth and family files as necessary to meet licensing requirements and accreditation standardsAssist in social functions, recruitment and retention events, and meetings of the Pathways to Permanency programParticipate in utilization, accreditation, and peer review process as assignedConduct meetings and continuing education and pre-approval trainings with Resource FamiliesResponsible for meeting all outcomes as documented in Employee Development Plan.Seek out clinical information and advice as needed, accepts constructive feedback and reasonable recommendations from managerProvides support to leadership and programs with interns, new hires, and additional program needs.Provides support to leadership and programs in times of program expansion (i.e. Therapeutic Foster Care, Home Based Shelter Care, Complex Care, etc.)Perform other duties as necessary for the program/agency, including working in other programsAssists and/or shadows the Social Worker I/II in initial onboarding or in a training capacityPosition Specific

Focus Area: Permanency

Provide case management services for youth and families as assigned by the Clinical Program ManagerCreate and implement needs and services plan, to help maintain stability and functioning of youth and the Resource FamilyUtilize needs and services plan and collaborate with other community partners and birth family to create a unified treatment team and support the permanency planConduct weekly or bi-weekly home visits to monitor youth's progress and provide support and advocacy services to the Resource Parent, youth, and birth familyProvide referrals and resources to youth, non-minor dependents, and familiesCoordinate visitation schedule with birth family and ensure supervision as ordered by the courtsMaintain contact with the youth's birth parents or other designated relatives, regarding the permanency plan as appropriateAct as liaison with County Social Worker/Probation Officer regarding youth's progress and placement goalsSupport placement of referred youth with approved Resource Family homes

Employment At-WillEmployment at the Agency is terminable at-will, which means that employment may beterminated at any time, without cause or reason, by either the employee or the Agency. Starting Salary Range:

Social Worker I:

$32.00 - $34.96 Hourly DOE

Social Worker II:

$67,000 - $74,000 Annually DOE

Social Worker III:

$70,000 - $76,000 Annually DOE
