Job Description
Application Engineer
is responsible for providing technical expertise and support of the HPS product. Will primarily handle the timely acceptance and return of large technical RFQ's and bid packages for NAL and international applications. This position will support direct and indirect sales staff with technical support and occasional presentations to customers.
Technical Expertise : Provide technical support and expertise in the selection, sizing, and application of horizontal pumps for specific projects. This includes understanding the fluid dynamics, pump curves, and system requirements.
Project Management : Tender work up and delivery. Work closely with clients, sales teams, and project managers to define project requirements, specifications, and timelines. Ensure that pump selections meet the necessary performance criteria.
Design & Customization : Design pump systems according to customer specifications, which may involve customizing standard pumps or developing new solutions to meet unique application needs.
Testing & Validation : Oversee or coordinate the testing and validation of pump systems to ensure they meet performance standards before delivery to the customer.
Documentation & Reporting : Prepare detailed technical documentation, including specifications, installation instructions, and maintenance guidelines. Provide regular reports on project progress and any potential issues.
Customer Interaction : Work directly with customers to understand their needs, provide technical guidance, and resolve any issues that arise during the selection or operation of the pumps.
Compliance & Standards : Ensure that all pump designs and applications comply with industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines.
Continuous Improvement : Stay updated on the latest technologies, materials, and methods in pump design and application, and work to continuously improve products and processes
