Being a member of the Application Support Engineering team you will be responsible for maintaining and providing technical support for all applications that are beyond the development stage and are running in the daily operations of the firm. Works closely with development teams, infrastructure partners, and internal / external clients to escalate and resolve technical support incidents.

The Development family is responsible for creating, designing, deploying, and supporting applications, programs, and software solutions. May include research, new development, prototyping, modification, reuse, re-engineering, maintenance, or any other activities related to software products used internally or externally on product platforms supported by the firm. The software development process requires in-depth domain expertise in existing and emerging development methodologies, tools, and programming languages. Software Developers work closely with business partners and / or external clients in defining requirements and implementing solutions. The Application Support Engineering role specializes in maintaining and providing technical support for all applications that are beyond the development stage and are running in the daily operations of the firm. Works closely with development teams, infrastructure partners, and internal / external clients to advance and resolve technical support incidents.

Your Primary Responsibilities :

Analysis of Applications Systems in order to prevent incidents from reoccurringExpand knowledge base of operating procedures/runbooks for supported applicationsCollaborate within the team to resolve application alerts and advance as neededGather requested documentation in support of ongoing audits requestsImplement assigned steps of the Disaster Recovery scripts during planned and unplanned outages, collecting BCM evidence as neededEnsure automation produces expected results within stated thresholdsMonitor Dashboard to provide better transparency into potential issues and future outagesAnalyze proposed application design and provide feedback on potential gaps to business requirementsImplement renewals/service account password changes as scheduled, resolve production defects and handle minor enhancements as neededAligns risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; advances appropriately**NOTE: The Primary Responsibilities of this role are not limited to the details above. **

Qualifications:

Minimum 4 years of related experienceBachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experienceTalents Needed for Success:

Experience with using ITIL Change, Incident and Problem management processes.Resolve critical production issues by leading Major Incident calls, engaging proper teams, and driving root cause analysisTackle and debug system component(s) to resolve technical issues in complex and highly regulated environments comprised of ground and cloud applications and servicesAnalyze proposed application design(s) and provide feedback on potential gaps or provide recommendations for optimizationHands-on experience with Monitoring and Alerting processes in Distributed, Cloud and Mainframe environmentsExperience in Distributed Application SupportHands on experience in Unix, Linux, Windows, SQL/PLSQLFamiliarity working with relational databases (DB2, Oracle, Snowflake)Knowledge of Cloud Technologies (AWS services (S3, EC2, Lambda, IAM roles, Postgress)Scheduling Tool experience (CA AutoSys, Control-M)Mainframe solving and support skills (COBOL, JCL, DB2, DB2 Stored Procedures, CICS, SPUFI, File aid)Mainframe scheduling (Job abends, Predecessor/Successor)

The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations. IT Architecture and Enterprise Services are responsible for enabling digital transformation of DTCC. The group manages complexity of the technology landscape within DTCC and enhances agility, robustness and security of the technology footprint. It does so by serving as the focal point for all technology architectural activities in the organization as well as engineering a portfolio of foundational technology assets to enable our digital transformation.
